DESCRIPTION:The Yellowknife Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce an upcoming trade mission to Hay River on Friday July 10\, 2026.\n\n\n\n The Northwest Territories is entering a period of significant federal investment driven by Arctic sovereignty\, national defence\, and long-term infrastructure development. The scale of investment coming to this region over the next decade represents a generational opportunity for Northwest Territories communities\, businesses\, and workers.\n\nThe scale of this opportunity is larger than any one community or region and will require strong partnerships\, collaboration\, and coordinated capacity across the territory.\n\nYellowknife and Hay River play complementary roles within our territorial economy. Yellowknife serves as a major service\, logistics\, and business hub\, while Hay River remains a critical transportation and gateway community through its rail and port connections\, and has strong roots in manufacturing and building.
