About Us
Aurora Dragonfly Consulting, established in 2022, is a First Nation-owned consultancy dedicated to fostering meaningful partnerships with Indigenous communities and the construction industry. With over 25 years experience, we specialize in the co-creation of Indigenous curriculum content and Indigenous awareness training and development that fosters understanding, respect, and cultural awareness. Our services are designed to create meaningful and impactful Indigenous curriculum and program experiences that centre Indigenous voices and Peoples. Our approach is shaped by a synthesis of lived experiences, Indigenous teachings, rigorous studies, and a deep connection to the Land. We ensure that all of our work is authentic, accurate and accountable to the Indigenous communities we work alongside.
We have worked alongside over 60 Indigenous Communities and Nations across what is now called Canada, working in various Nations and Territories.
We specialize in working with Corporations and Governments that work towards moving Action based plans within the TRC Calls to Action. We have worked in various industries such as construction, sand and gravel, Government, business development and education.
We have developed curriculum alongside several First Nation communities. We centre their knowledge as the foundation and core of education. We have extensive experience working with both NWT and AB curriculum programs.
At Aurora Dragonfly, our work is centered and guided by Indigenous pedagogical and philosophical perspectives. In particular, we operate within a framework that prioritizes the following approaches to learning and education: Respect and inclusivity, lifelong learning, holistic approaches, culturally relevant, and collaboration.
