About Us
PlanIt North is a Yellowknife-based firm specializing in community planning, local governance, and resource management. We provide expert services in planning, research, change management and communications.
PlanIt North is a values-based company. Using evidence-based decision-making and inclusive processes, we aim to build the skills and confidence of all participants through our planning and research. We strive to create participatory processes and we seek to center the individuals who are most affected in decision-making.
We work primarily for Indigenous government and co-management boards in the NWT and have worked in most NWT regions. Our work is diverse as our team brings together individual expertise in planning, graphic design, communications, social work and local economic development. We frequently work with communities on their planning priorities. We also work closely with communities and organizations on planning implementation including fundraising, partnership development and project management.
