Every year, at the end of March, when the snow begins to melt, the residents of Yellowknife, take time to reflect on the ingenuity and toughness that got us through the winter. Historically the community has done so by attending the Long John Jamboree. Residents and tourists have continued to venture down to Yellowknife Bay to participate in our growing festival for the past five years, for free.
The Long John Jamboree will take place March 24-26th, 2017 and would not be possible without contributions from the community. Currently, we are looking to companies and businesses, such as you, who would be willing to support us. There are various ways of giving:
1) Cash donations – Your donation is greatly appreciated and will be used to pay for aspects of the Jamboree where energy and enthusiasm are not enough.
2) In Kind donations – Show your support by donating any products and/or services that can be used in a raffle/auction, or production of the Long John Jamboree. In Kind donations will be recognized based on dollar value.
3) Volunteers -Show your support by getting involved! Volunteers from your esteemed organization will help us in places where money cannot.
The Long John Jamboree is only made possible through generous donations and fundraising opportunities. Thank you in advance for your contribution. We hope to see you at Jamboree!
This event would not be possible without you.
