Small businesses have borne the brunt of the downturn in the economy from policies aimed at combatting COVID-19. This presentation will discuss the impact COVID-19 has had on Canada’s economy in the context of what’s happening in globally. Given that small enterprises are crucial to the Canadian economy – representing 42% of GDP and 48% of new jobs – and are at greatest danger in this unique recession, steps must be taken to help them survive the downturn and thrive during the recovery.
